The definition of religiosity is the quality of being religious, especially of being excessively, ostentatiously, or mawkishly religious. People with schizophrenia, like my mother De Jure J.D. Bancroft, often have feelings of excessive religiosity.
Religiosity can reflect an individual’s beliefs more than the ideology of an organized religion.
One can see in my mother’s crosses reflections of a unique belief system or spirituality that is not simply Christian – although she proclaimed that she was a good Christian woman.
She referred to her crosses as “Sky Trees”
