De Jure J.D. Bancroft was a photographer – an incessant and obsessive photographer. For the last 40 years she captured images of a wide variety of subjects – usually in unique ways. A good number of the photos (and her artworks) are about small children. She told me that she really adored small children.
There is only one photograph in existence that she took of her own two children – and it is in rough shape. There are no other photographs of when we were children. We are the two daughters that were taken away by “them” and replaced with robots, or killed by the dangerous fish.
